Gilroy Loge on the Hill Wedding |San Francisco Wedding Photography
Big congrats to this beautiful couple Mavis and Robert, they just had their wonderful wedding celebration at Gilroy Lodge on the Hill. Mavis is a piano teacher , and Robert is the guy who tunes the pianos. Robert went to Mavis’s piano studio to tune her piano, that was how they met each other. Apparently Robert fell in love at first sight, he asked her out right after, their love story started. Wow, everybody could not help laughing when this story was told at ceremony. Best wishes to them for the years to come!
review of the venue Gilroy Lodge on the Hill from the bride:
This venue has so many things going for it! There is a breathtaking view of the valley, an indoor reception area (ballroom), catering that is delicious for a very reasonable price, a bar (or a choice not to have one, which is what I did), linens/tables/cutlery/dinnerware, and an amazing coordinator. I was actually going to get married at Vasona Lake Park in Los Gatos originally because it was so inexpensive to hold the date for the wedding. However, after all of the things we were going to rent plus catering and delivery charges for catering, it was going to cost more than the Lodge on the Hill AND would have been a lot more stressful (at least for my honey and I). On the day of, the coordinator kept things humming along smoothly and the whole wedding looked so beautiful and cohesive. Other than the stress of mingling with my huge guest list, the whole day was amazing and wonderful! I definitely recommend this venue. I was on a really tight budget and was able to pull this one off. It was about 7000, but I actually had a relatively large guest-list (about 130). Compared to the venues around Hollister, which is where I live, the pricing at the Lodge was very reasonable and so worth it.
